This is a snippet of a post by The fantastic site of Lord Matt that originally appeared at The fantastic site of Lord Matt.
Everyone knows that a successful blogger has not truely made it until he or she picks up a goodly collection of trolls. I’m a terriable troll keeper – I don’t feed mine enough and they tend to die or move on to better blogs.
As you might imagin I don’t have a very big collection of Trolls but I am very fond of my tiny collection of fanatics, fans if you will.
There was Dr Notley, some yangry young teen (can’t remember his name, can’t remember his blog) who I managed to tick off so hard that he kept linking to me and some spammer who called me “War Lord” (which made me smile). Then there was the one that got away – benny b who, despite the time I’ve taken to write about how much I don’t like him he has yet to return the love.
However my favourate troll, the most persistant of them all was “@idiotzapper” who when it looked like he might be unmasked deleated his twitter account. Oh well, nothing lasts forever I think.
But I am wrong for I may soon be reunited with my favorate fanatical troll, a person who so obsessed with the glory that is Lord Matt made accounts on twitter to talk about nothing else but me. You know you are something special when that happens, right?
The reason I feel I might get to thank my most persistant fanatic is that my American based friend Vlad Zablotskyy has hinted in a recent post that he has the name and email address of my very own troll. His name might well be Steven Vaughan who has been giving love to Read write Web’s Top 10 Failures of 2009 post.
Vlad has some evidence that links Steven to the @idiotzapper twitter account. I am looking forward to talking further with my troll. Especially as I think I now I have his email address. I can hardly wait to find out who Steven Vaughan realy is.
